Note: For comfortable insertion, use a small amount of water-based lubricant on the pessary and/or applicator tip. Do not use silicone lubricants (e.g., Uberlube) or oil-based lubricants. The Reia pessary is 100% medical-grade silicone, and silicone-based lubricants can coat the device, impede cleaning, and degrade the material.

With the right size Reia pessary, you should feel relief from your symptoms. If you feel discomfort, like when a tampon sits too low, refer to the instructions for tips on how to place the Reia pessary in the right spot. If you feel any other discomfort, you may need a different size and should talk to your practitioner.

Typically, no. The stem is usually inside the body. Some people may notice the end of the pessary near the opening of their vagina. If it sits too low and causes discomfort, talk to your practitioner.

Yes! The Reia pessary is designed to be easy and comfortable to remove any time. We recommend removing it for penetrative sex.

We recommend you remove it nightly if you can. It is safe to leave it in for longer, but not longer than recommended by your healthcare practitioner.
